These critical maritime hubs experience unpredictable storm surges that threaten essential infrastructure, disrupt shipping operations, and compromise national supply chains. Traditional static flood defenses have proven inadequate against Iceland’s harsh coastal conditions, requiring a more adaptive and resilient solution.

This maritime flood barrier Iceland project focuses on protecting critical port operations. WaveSave delivered an integrated flood defense system featuring four key components:
Unlike permanent flood defence structures, WaveSave provides deployable solutions such as SLAMDAM, enabling rapid protection without disrupting port operations or requiring large-scale construction.
