Ba Town, a commercial hub in Fiji, faces escalating flood risks due to climate change-induced extreme weather events. The Ba River basin’s frequent flooding threatens critical infrastructure, disrupts market operations, and endangers local communities. Traditional flood management approaches lack the predictive capabilities and precision needed to mitigate increasingly severe and unpredictable flood events, necessitating advanced data-driven solutions for effective flood forecasting and warning systems.
