Iceland’s strategic harbors face increasing vulnerability to flooding due to extreme weather events and rising sea levels. These critical maritime hubs experience unpredictable storm surges that threaten essential infrastructure, disrupt shipping operations, and compromise national supply chains. Traditional static flood defenses have proven inadequate against Iceland’s harsh coastal conditions, requiring a more adaptive and resilient solution.
