WaveSave will join the Netherlands delegation at Aquatech Asia 2026 in Bangkok from 25 to 27 November 2026. During the exhibition, we will present practical Dutch solutions for flood protection, water storage and climate resilience.
We look forward to meeting Thai and regional organisations that want to improve flood preparedness, manage water more effectively or explore opportunities for pilot projects and long-term cooperation.
Aquatech Asia 2026 marks the first Bangkok edition of the international Aquatech exhibition. The event brings together water professionals from across Southeast Asia and other regions.
Utilities, government organisations, industries, engineers, researchers and technology providers will meet to discuss practical answers to water-related challenges. As a result, visitors can explore new technologies while also meeting potential project and business partners.
The exhibition covers water technology, integrated water management, drinking water, process water and wastewater. In addition, Aquatech Asia places special attention on flood and drought management. This theme closely matches WaveSave’s work in flood protection, temporary water storage and climate adaptation.

WaveSave develops and implements solutions that help organisations manage both excess water and water shortages. At Aquatech Asia 2026, our team will discuss how these solutions can support cities, industries, infrastructure operators, agricultural areas and vulnerable communities.

Rather than offering a single product, WaveSave combines practical technologies, project experience and local cooperation. Therefore, we can adapt our approach to the needs of each location.
A central part of our participation will be SLAMDAM, a reusable, water-filled mobile flood barrier.
Teams can deploy SLAMDAM where temporary protection is needed. For example, the barrier can help protect buildings, infrastructure, roads, industrial sites and other vulnerable locations. Because the system uses water as its main filling material, it can reduce the need to transport and handle large amounts of sand.
The barrier also offers flexible placement. Consequently, users can apply it along rivers, canals, roads, buildings or temporary containment areas, depending on the local situation.

WaveSave will use its presentations to show how climate adaptation becomes tangible when technologies are practical, scalable and easy to integrate into existing systems.
Water management does not stop when a flood has passed. Many locations must manage heavy rainfall during one part of the year and water shortages during another.
WaveSave therefore also works on temporary and flexible water storage. These systems can help retain water when it is available and support planned use during drier periods. Applications may include agriculture, emergency supply, construction, industrial sites and local water management.
By connecting flood protection with water storage, organisations can move from emergency response towards a broader water resilience strategy.
Timely information can help organisations act before a water-related emergency becomes more severe. For this reason, WaveSave also works with early warning systems, data collection, mapping and risk assessment.

These conditions create opportunities for cooperation between Thai organisations and the Dutch water sector. However, successful projects require more than exporting technology. They also require local knowledge, trusted partners and solutions that fit the Thai context.
WaveSave wants to build that cooperation for the long term. Therefore, our participation in Aquatech Asia 2026 forms part of a broader strategy for Thailand rather than a one-off exhibition visit.

The Netherlands has extensive experience in managing water in densely populated and low-lying areas. Dutch companies and knowledge organisations have developed practical approaches to flood protection, water technology, delta management and climate adaptation.
At Aquatech Asia 2026, the delegation will connect this experience with the priorities of Thailand and Southeast Asia. At the same time, Dutch participants can learn from Thai organisations, local experts and regional project experience.
Our participation also connects closely with WaveSave’s involvement in the Partners for International Business programme, commonly known as PIB.
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency, RVO, uses this programme to support groups of Dutch businesses that want to enter or expand within an international market. By working together with other companies and the Dutch government, participants can build a stronger and more coordinated market position.
